The Man o’ War may look like a jellyfish but is actually a siphonophore made up of a group of colonial organisms. It is frequently found in the warm gulf waters carried to shore by the ocean’s currents. It is well known by beach strollers or poor unsuspecting swimmers avoiding it’s long tentacles strewn along the beach or floating innocently in the water.
